Yelp Elite Week At @SaltAndStraw did not disappoint. I was immediately drawn in by the vibrant red colors, the variety of flavors, and the merchandise. Ademari educated me about the history of Portland Born Salt & Straw and its recent arrival at @HendersonAvenueDallas. I was encouraged to try as many flavors as I wanted, which turned out to be quite a few. I love that Salt & Straw features a couple of custom flavors dedicated to Texas. In the end, I chose a split scoop of Cinnamon Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Gooey Brownie. The taste and smell of the waffle cone are still fresh in my memory. Thank you to the team at @SaltAndStraw and @YelpDFW for a wonderful experience and the first of many scoops!

Just love Salt & Straw!! So happy it’s now here in Texas. You cannot go wrong with any flavors that they have! I love the olive oil and the strawberry pretzel pie seasonal! Kids scoop was enough for me!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Really good ice cream with lots of really unique flavors. I got the sea salt caramel and the the coffee and love nuts flavors and both were good. The single scoop was pretty large so I went with the kids cup. I really liked the mechanism they have for tasting ice cream and returning the spoons. They use real metal spoons instead of plastic which was a nice touch. Check it out if you’re in Dallas!!

Service Service Service! This place has great ice cream but they got EXCELLENT service! I tried three times before finally finding a line I was willing to wait in on my fourth visit. It was still a wait but worth every minute of it. I ordered the double fold vanilla on a fresh waffle cone and then topped it with chocolate syrup and whipped cream for good measure! It was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Chocolate gooey Brownie Ice Cream and it was pretty amazing as well! Like I sad though, the real stars of what’s going on here though are the employees. These folks stay slammed all day and/or night and keep a smile on their faces and give great customer service to everyone! Welcome to Dallas Salt & Straw!!

Opening weekend at Salt & Straw in Dallas! So of course I had to check it out. The staff was helpful and did not rush us. In fact, between us we probably tried 10 flavors. And let me tell you, do NOT sleep on the Special Texas flavor “Cream Cheese Jalapeno Jelly” !!! It was my favorite of all that I tried and that says a lot, as I’m not usually a savory in my sweet type of gal. I already knew the ice cream would be good, because I sought it out in San Francisco when they opened there 10+ years ago, but I was not expecting the deliciousness of this flavor with its caramelized Ritz cracker bits. Yes, you read that correctly. For my second flavor, I also got the Chocolate Gooey Brownie. And I got it specifically for that reason, it’s “gooeyness”. The texture on this one is perfection. Summer is coming and I will be back. (My only complaint was the very small amount of whipped cream given for the add on.)
